"We honestly never planned to revisit “Around.” With so many incredible versions already out there, it felt complete. But when Defected got in touch and we heard Meduza’s 2025 version it triggered something in us.

I felt inspired to strip the song down to its emotional core, led by piano, and see where that could take us. I played Haze’s vocal over the keys, letting the chords and mood guide a new direction.
With me in Denmark and Haze in Malaysia, we built this version across time zones — I sent him my ideas and he hit me back with constructive criticism. Haze has such a sharp ear, and his feedback was key in shaping the arrangement and balance of this reimagination.

We did not want to replicate what’s already out there. ‘Around Reimagined’ hits different. It’s very intimate, intense and almost cinematic sounding. We created the experience for both headphones and dance floors.
In the end music is a feeling and to us it’s all about getting the message across in a way that connects.
This project has actually reignited our creative spark — and we’re now working on more new music as Noir & Haze."
