Noir’s two new acid tracks “Done” and “Undone” have been released via Spotify, Youtube and Beatport. Below you can read the press by Noir and head over to any of the 3 platforms to check out the full tracks.

In the late 80s I started listening to UK radio stations when I was a little kid and I instantly fell in love with the acid sound and rave movement that was portrayed on those UK dance shows. When I got old enough to attend clubs and warehouse raves, to experience the movement first hand, it was a no- brainer for me that the music and the lifestyle was my call.

Lately.... in my dj sets and when producing music... I have been time travelling back to those days. Back to how I remember the music I fell so deeply in love with and that is exactly what you hear on this “Done/Undone” release.

For the “Done” track I teamed up with Cari Golden to have a female spoken word and a great message to build the music around.
I always prefer to do original vocal recordings rather than using samples. Cari understood 100% what I was after and I love the lyrics and execution by her.

The spoken word is centered, very clear and deep to contrast the constantly building intensity of the acid patterns and thumping beats.

“Undone” is instrumental and has a more straight forward flow to it.
It’s quite simple although the shifting groove patterns might surprise some. I was torn between two different acid patterns and decided to drop one of them as a surprise change. Playing the track in clubs I quickly learned that the change of dynamics had a great effect.

Both tracks have been wrapped in dark-themed chords and atmosphere.
Both tracks have my take on the sound I fell in love with years ago and obviously still love today. I hope you like what you hear.

It makes me proud to have this “Savala” release on Noir Music cause you can hear from the title track “Savala” is an extension of his previous release on the label and with “Balea” and “Mortal Sins” he moves his sound-design to new ventures and a more minimal, raw approach to the final outcome.
Exactly what I wanted from David. Exactly what I hoped for and well…… Even better.

These 3 tracks just sounds amazing and they have been crafted perfectly step by step over a long period of time. A lot of passion, energy and love have been put into this release.
On top of that the titles of the tracks also have sentimental value to David, so there is also a deeper meaning with this release.

This is the debut release on Noir Music from Brazilian K.A.L.I.L.

We have been working quite some time to perfect this first release from him on the label and give it the edge needed to stand out.

After tons of road-testing and going back and forth with production ideas I am now happy to have 2 perfect tracks ready from K.A.L.I.L. that really showcase his super solid techno sound and production flair.

Involved (co-produced with Any Mello) is a quite simple trip with Any’s spoken word in center of industrial elements wobling it and out. 
This track works really well in the clubs because of its on point minimalism, the high intensity stacatto synths and the catchy vocal line from Any.

It's not easy to do big tracks without big basslines - but that's what K.A.L.I.L. and Any Mello truely achieved with this one.

It’s been almost a year since I had an original NOIR release.

I wanted some time without releases. Some time to breathe, to think and most importantly time to be creative and to experiment. I have picked 2 productions I felt sounded different to everything else out there.

Eruption was already made in the fall 2017 and I have been road-testing it since ADE17 and changed it quite a lot over the 6 months period from when I thought it was finished to what it actually sounds like now.
I wanted the track to be brutal like a volcano erupting, but at the same time have beautiful and peaceful elements. Hence the breakdown lava sliding into the middle of the track before it all erupts again. I have spent many hours trying to make it sound raw and unpolished.

Disruption is build around a super simple sequence loop I played by hand while jamming with new pluck sounds. As the sequence got layered and washed in effects, it became a quite haunting loop and that led me to add a boys choir to give that feel bigger impact.
This track sounds simpler than Eruption, but it’s actually stacked with layers.
Disruption is meant to hypnotize and make you pay attention to details.
